Every lamp produced by Litez Lamps is guaranteed for life with all parts repairable, replaceable, or resprayable.
If you have a damaged or broken lamp, even one produced when our lamps were being produced through Nite-Capp Novelties (or even earlier than that!), please feel free to return it for repair or replacement. - Provided the damage is not intentional, and that no attempt has been made to repair the lamp by anyone outside of Litez Lamps, your lamp should be repairable or replaceable as a Postage Only Repair.
Some of our older design lamps are not repairable, so these would be replaced (using the original bottle if possible). Also, lampshades are no longer used in the production of Litez Lamps, so any lampshades needing replacement will be replaced with an uplighter.
The bottles used in the production of some of our older bottle lamps are no longer available or the design has been updated; so, whilst we will save the bottle from a deleted label design whenever possible, any complete replacement would involve using a more recent design of bottle or the offer of an entirely different lamp from the same range.
The lifetime guarantee on the lamps does not cover light bulbs (which are available through our eBay store) or fuses (also available through our eBay store). All new lamps have externally fused plugs, which can be fitted to older lamps as a Postage Only Repair.
Postage Only Repairs: These are repairs requiring only a payment of postage costs for returning your lamp to you once repaired [UK (includes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Wales, Scotland, and the Channel Islands): £7.50, non-UK: £14.50], with the cost of returning the lamp to Litez Lamps payable by the customer.
- Please Note: Litez Lamps are not responsible for lamps from customers that are lost or damaged in the post, so please ensure that the lamps are carefully packed, consider using trackable delivery, and do not send items or parts that do not need to be sent (I would be happy to advise on this for anyone contacting me prior to returning their lamp(s)).
Lamp Deliberately Damaged, or Write-Off (including body of lamp smashed, cracked, split, or crushed): Return for a 20% discount off the cost of a new lamp (Lite-Bitz!, Kidz-Bitz!, Heavi-Bitz!, or Weird-Bitz! (any with glow in the dark effects or customised design if required - colouration can be matched to existing components if required).
- Please do not return light bulbs, broken bottles/jars, or broken plaster/resin bases when returning lamps for repair or replacement, but please do detail what the lamp was (eg: WKD Blue, Guinness, Jack Daniel's, etc.) if the bottle/jar has been smashed.
Replacement Light Bulbs: Replacement light bulbs can be purchased through our eBay store. Check the lampholder fitted to your lamp to determine the type of light bulb you require. If your lamp uses screw-in (Edison Screw cap) light bulbs, the diameter of the lampholder will be either 14mm (E14 SES) or 27mm (E27 ES).
Replacement Fuses: Replacement fuses, for use with externally fused plugs (like those used on our most recent lamp designs), can be purchased through our eBay store. If your lamp does not have an externally fused plug (ie: the plug would need to be taken apart in order to change the fuse), then changing the fuse would invalidate the guarantee on your lamp. - In this case please return it for a Postage Only Repair.
Replacement Lampshades or Uplighters: Replacement lampshades are no longer available; however, replacement uplighters are available for the cost of £5 (with postage) for UK orders (including Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Wales, Scotland, and the Channel Islands): or £7.50 (with postage) for non-UK: orders.
- Replacement uplighters, including those intended to replace lampshades, can be colour-co-ordinated to match an existing lamp. - It is not necessary to return lampshades, uplighters, or lamps for this matching process if an adequate description can be given instead, nor is proof of lamp purchase required for replacement uplighters.
Existing Customers: May purchase further lamps with a discount of 20% with proof of their original purchase (original invoice or receipt where possible or a clear photograph of their lamp(s)). It may also be necessary to supply further details about the lamp, or where it was purchased.
Returning Lamps: A full refund is offered on unwanted orders conditional on the lamp(s) being returned intact with all accessories, and securely packed in the original carrier. It is not necessary to replace or include any cable ties used in the original packaging for your lamp(s), nor is it necessary to re-use the original corrugated wrapper if you have a suitable alternative.
- Lamps can also be returned for exchange, although there will be an additional charge for exchanging your lamp for a lamp from a different range (eg: exchanging a Lite-Bitz! lamp for a Heavi-Bitz! lamp), or for changing a powder-coat lamp to a resin lamp.
- Deleted Label Design lamps cannot be exchanged.
Lamps Damaged on Delivery: A full refund, including postage costs, will be made for any lamp orders that are found to be damaged on delivery, following return of the lamp and accessories (including broken parts). If the body of the lamp is smashed please send a clear photograph of the damage, but no parts of broken bottles or jars.
