Litez, the trading identity of Devon designer John Barnes, has been producing quality, handcrafted lamps and lighting products for over 17 years; specialising in custom designs, special occasions, and events of every kind!
Originally called Bootlegdistillery, a purely humourous title later dropped in favour of Nite-Capp Novelties, at the request of our then business partner, Mark "Titch" Little (a true visionary who started the whole thing off... ).
Following on from Nite-Capp Novelties the business expanded, with Nite-Capp Novelties becoming a range under Luminiferous Crafts, then later a range under UKPremier. Following this Night-Capp Novelties became WKDLamps, one of our WKDCrafts product ranges.
Later developments necessitated a further change of our main business identity from WKDCrafts to Litez; WKDLamps becoming Litez Lamps, with the same selections that this range has always carried: Lite-Bitz! (bottle lamps from alcopops, beer, lager, etc.), Heavi-Bitz! (larger bottle lamps from spirits, liqueurs, etc.), Weird-Bitz! (lamps from everyday beverages and foodstuffs), and Kidz-Bitz! (non-alcoholic beverage bottle lamps).
The Flash-Bitz! selection was dropped in 2006, because a glow in the dark skin (including 100% glow-in-the-dark skin) can be requested with any of our lamps, so it is not a selection in its own right the way the other selections are.
